Part of our mission is to volunteer and give back to the community. We do this through many avenues.
-
Supporting local Veteran’s Home and Nursing Homes
- Hold monthly events with the women at the Frank Tejeda Veteran’s Home
- Volunteering at the Floresville and La Vernia Food Banks
- Volunteering in the local community events and parades
- Running a scholarship program for Wilson County High Schools

Colorguard
- We have a group of ladies who are available to present the national colors at ceremonies, parades and other special events. Our Color Guard may also perform posting duties at formal events.
- To request Color Guard, please contact us through this website or by emailing: womenwarriorvets@gmail.com. All requests go to our Sergeant-At-Arms (Deborah Gailbreith) and she will get back to you.
- If possible, we request at least a 2-month advance notification to allow for preparation (group concurrence and to get a team together)
